ASAM Level of Care Certification is the first program of its kind to independently assess and verify a treatment program’s ability to deliver services consistent with the levels of care described in The ASAM Criteria. It currently covers adult residential and inpatient treatment programs at levels of care 3.1, 3.5 and 3.7.
The certification helps to accurately differentiate between levels of care, highlight treatment programs that have evidence-based policies and procedures and
support adoption of standards of care to improve the quality of addiction treatment.
ASAM Level of Care certification demonstrates a program’s capacity to deliver a specific level of care, thereby differentiating between the multiple levels of care available for addiction treatment. To learn more about certification, or find certified programs near you, visit ASAM.org.
