Feeling stressed? Cry about it! Sometimes people try to make others feel guilty or embarrassed about tears, but there are real benefits to expressing your emotions with tears. Emotional tears help your body eliminate stress hormones and toxins and may spur your body into releasing endorphins. Breathing and heart rates decrease after crying, helping you feel calm.
This week, I will practice being comfortable with crying. Sometimes when I am feeling stressed, I will allow myself to cry.
