Everyone has disagreements, but there are more and less effective ways to handle them. Focusing on your own behavior can help you be respectful. When arguing, try asking yourself how you might behave if you were in front of someone you respect. Or try using a model: think of a friend whose communication style you admire. Thinking about your behavior may help you argue with care.
This week, I will focus on my behavior when in an argument and consider ways I might improve it.
