Sometimes carbohydrates get a bad reputation, but eating healthy carbs can be a good choice. Unrefined carbohydrates, such as fruits, vegetables, beans and whole grains, are healthful food options. Look to avoid refined carbohydrates, such as white bread, pastries and sugary sodas. Unrefined carbs are often loaded with vitamins, minerals and other elements critical to a healthy diet.
This week, I will think about the carbohydrates I eat. I will pay particular attention to any refined carbs in my diet.
