Particularly when stressed, it is easy to forget about things that happen automatically. Paying attention to one automatic process, breathing, can help you manage stress. Breathing deeply can send a message to your brain to slow down and relax.
This week, I will think about how I breathe. When feeling stressed, I will remember to take a deep breath.
