Many people know that eating too much sodium can lead to a variety of negative health effects. Fewer people know that there is a lot of sodium packed into foods they eat every day. From canned foods, to pre-made or microwaveable foods, it can feel difficult to avoid eating too much salt. Cooking more food from scratch, and using a variety of spices to replace salt in many recipes, can help you avoid sodium and increase your health.
