From a very young age, humans appear to naturally enjoy helping others. There is evidence that young children find joy in simply watching other people being helped, even if they themselves are not involved. A good way to improve relationships, and overall emotional health, then, is to help others. Reaching out to those around you can help you to feel better - and it doesn't do other people any harm, either!
This week, I will think about ways that I can help someone around me to help us both.
