Build Muscle to Burn Calories

Your body is burning calories even while you are resting. Each day you burn roughly 2 calories for every pound of fat, and 6 calories for every pound of muscle. Building muscle increases the amount of calories your body burns while it is at rest. In addition to feeling healthier and becoming stronger, building muscle can make it easier to lose weight because you're burning more calories at rest.

This week, I will consider building muscle to burn more calories at rest.
