Exercising often causes sore muscles. This can be good as it indicates the effectiveness of your efforts, but the discomfort of sore muscles can hinder further progress. Simple things can be done to ease sore muscles, including stretching to increase restorative blood flow, massaging and rolling to ease the tension in your connective tissue, and applying ice to help decrease swelling. Reducing your soreness can help you maintain your fitness.
This week I will consider treating sore muscles to help me maintain my fitness.
