Many believe that if a relationship doesn’t work, it is simply because it’s not meant to be. In truth, to make a relationship work, you’ve got to be willing to put in some work. Like creating anything of value, a relationship takes effort. It requires honesty and a continued commitment to grow, learn, and work through inevitable differences. So maybe a compatible relationship is not so much a “match made in heaven,” but a “match made together.”
This week I will remember that success in my relationships requires work. And that’s ok.
