Most folks say they'd be happier if they had more leisure time. Surprisingly, studies have shown that our most optimal experiences don't occur during leisure activities. They happen at work. The confusion lies in our attitude. Positive emotions aren't enough to make us happy; we have to identify them as such. Unfortunately, our conditioned attitude towards "work" as unpleasant prevents us from seeing things this way.
This week, I will take a timeout to recognize a positive experience while at work.
