Where cardio and fat-burning forms of exercise are concerned, the mantra has long been "more is more." The research, however, is continually changing the course. You can actually do more fat loss and muscle building in less time with high-intensity interval training, or HIIT. It's not as scary as it sounds. Simply cycle between bouts of all-out effort, like sprinting, and active recovery, like walking. Your workout can be over in 20 minutes!
This week, I will try high-intensity interval training instead of my usual exercise routine.
